SOM1101 LLC d/b/a WildStar Networks ("WildStar," "we," or "us") provides this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, and share personal information from visitors and customers of www.wildstarnetworks.com (the "Site") and related online tools, including our coverage checker, signup request, contact form, careers form, and outage map. This policy may change from time to time. We will post updates on this page. Please review it periodically.
Information You Provide to Us
You can browse the Site without creating an account. If you use certain features, you may give us personal information such as:
- Coverage check and signup: name, email, phone number, service address, apartment or unit, comments, selected plan, and contract term.
- Contact form: name, email, phone, address or ZIP if you provide them, topic, and message.
- Careers: name, email, phone, and resume or other application materials you upload.
- Customer account (portal or billing): name, phone, service address, email, login credentials, and payment details when you pay a bill.
- SMS: your mobile number and the fact that you opted in to texts.
We use this information to check whether we can serve your address, process signup and service requests, create and maintain your account, complete transactions, provide customer support, send service-related messages, and, where allowed, send offers or news about our service. We also use it to understand how people use the Site and to improve our tools.
Location, Maps, and Coverage Tools
Our coverage checker uses Google Places (address autocomplete) and Google Maps so you can confirm your rooftop location. When you check an address or move the map pin, we collect the formatted address and the map coordinates (latitude and longitude) you confirm.
We use those coordinates to look up whether the point is inside our service area and which plans we can offer. That lookup may include a radio-frequency coverage analysis from a third-party provider (currently cnHeat) so we can estimate signal strength and which speed tiers may be available. Coordinates are sent for that analysis; we do not sell that location data.
Google's use of information from Maps and Places is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Security Checks (reCAPTCHA)
We use Google reCAPTCHA on coverage checks, signup, contact, and careers forms to reduce spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA may collect device and usage data as described in the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service.
Cookies, Tracking, and Information We Collect Automatically
When you visit the Site we automatically collect information about you (via cookies, server logs, pixel tags, third-party analytics tools, and other methods), including IP address; browser type and operating system; referring URL; approximate location; pages you visit and time spent; links you click; access times and dates; device ID or other identifier; language; and similar statistics. Server logs (from our web server and hosting) are used to operate and secure the Site, diagnose issues, and review usage in aggregate. They are not a tracking feature on the Site itself.
Our systems do not recognize browser "do-not-track" requests.
Cookies
Like many websites, we use cookies to collect information. A cookie is a small data file stored on your device. We may use persistent cookies to remember login or preference information, and session cookies to operate Site features, understand how you use the Site, and measure traffic. Session cookies are typically deleted when you close your browser. You can control cookies in your browser settings. If you block cookies, some features of the Site may not work.
Clear GIFs
Clear GIFs (also called web beacons or pixel tags) are small graphics used to track activity on pages or in emails. We may use them to understand how content is used, measure email open or click rates, and compile usage statistics.
Mobile Devices
If you visit the Site on a phone or tablet, we may collect a device identifier or similar data used to operate the Site, detect unauthorized access, and understand usage. Some features may not work if device identifiers are blocked.
How We Share Information
We share personal information with service providers who help us run the Site and our internet service. That can include hosting, databases, security, payment processing, mapping, coverage analysis, analytics, email or text delivery, customer-management (billing) systems, and similar vendors. They are allowed to use the information only to perform work for us.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share SMS opt-in data or mobile numbers with third parties for their own marketing.
Google Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand how people use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as how often users visit, which pages they view, and which site they came from. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy and Google Analytics Terms of Service.
Payments
Billing and bill payments are handled through Sonar, our customer-management system, and sonarPay, Sonar's payment processor. When you pay through our customer portal or related billing tools, card or bank details are collected and processed by sonarPay. Sonar and sonarPay tokenize payment data so raw card numbers are not stored in our systems. Their practices are described in the Sonar Privacy Policy.
Email Tools
We may use an email platform (for example, Mailchimp) to send newsletters or service messages if you have given us an email address. That provider processes contact details under its own privacy policy. If Mailchimp is used, see the Mailchimp Privacy Policy.
Advertising Pixels
With your permission, we may use advertising measurement tools such as the Meta (Facebook) pixel so we can understand whether ads led people to our Site. Data collected through those tools is processed by Meta under its policies. You can review Meta's practices and ad settings on Meta's Privacy Policy and ad preferences. These tools are not directed to children under 13.
Legal Requests
WildStar cooperates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We may disclose information about you when we believe it is necessary or appropriate to respond to legal process, protect WildStar or others, protect public safety, or address activity that may be illegal or harmful.
Business Transfers
If WildStar is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, personal information we collect may be transferred as part of that transaction or the negotiation of it.
Aggregate and De-Identified Information
We may create de-identified or aggregated data (for example by removing name, email, and street address) and use or share it for research, analytics, or business purposes.
Security
We and our hosting providers use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including HTTPS, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you have a customer-portal password, keep it confidential. Activity under your login is treated as authorized by you. Log out when you are finished, especially on a shared device.
California Residents
California law lets residents ask how their information is shared with third parties for those parties' direct marketing. We only share information for that kind of third-party marketing if you have opted in. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us at support@wildstarnetworks.com and we will delete it.
International Visitors
WildStar is based in Florida and is not set up for GDPR. By using the Site you confirm you are not using it as a resident of the European Union or another jurisdiction that requires GDPR-style compliance. If you are, please do not use the Site or Services.
